The Women’s 100 Miler Project Grant

About the Grant

The Women’s 100 Miler Project Grant aims to empower a female runner by offering financial support to go toward race entry, related gear, and associated travel expenses for a race that is at least 100 miles in distance. In addition, the grant includes individualized coaching from established ultrarunner Lee Conner, providing expert guidance and accountability from recipient selection through race day.

This initiative is designed to lower barriers to participation and nurture a supportive community that encourages women to pursue their long distance racing goals.

We recognize that running a 100-mile race requires not only intense preparation, but also a significant financial investment. From high race registration fees to the costs of travel, these mounting expenses can be daunting and potentially discourage women from pursuing their dream race. Our grant is here to help ensure that financial hurdles—and the challenges of training alone—don’t prevent the deserving recipient from experiencing the growth and achievements that come with completing a bucket-list 100-mile or 100-mile-plus race.

By pairing financial support with one-on-one coaching, we aim to give recipients not just the financial means to get to the starting line, but also the tools to train effectively and arrive prepared—mentally and physically—for the challenge ahead.

Through this initiative, we hope to foster a growing community of female ultrarunners who not only challenge their own limits but also inspire future generations of women in the sport. By alleviating financial burdens and enhancing inclusivity, we aim to see more women at the starting lines.

Donations to the fund are greatly appreciated, as they directly contribute to sustaining this grant and supporting more women in their 100-miler journeys.

We will select our finalist by August 4th, 2025. Finalists will be asked for video submissions in order for us to get to know them better.
The Women's 100 Miler Project may select a recipient based on video submissions, or may move forward with a third and final round, which could include live video interviews.
